Lets take a scenario where a guy would to choose to buy either a "quite" branded theater system that cost around 800 and a "not so" branded theater system that cost around 300. Though price difference are huge, more people would go for the more branded.
Mostly is because the brands are indicating to the user that the systems are more top notch. This is where questions come in, is it worth to spend another $500 for the brands and the quality where the purpose of the product is the same?
There is no right or wrong answer for that question, every person has a different perspective view of looking at that.
- Group of people who have a middle range income - They would choose the "not so branded" system as they are trying to avoid spending unnecessary money.
- Group of people who loves sound system - They would research the two products detail and most of the time; they look quality rather then the price.
- Group of people who have a higher range income - Majority of them have a perception that the more expensive the product is, the better the quality is.
Ask yourself a question? Which groups are you belong to? Is there anything wrong about that? I doubt so because as long you have the ability to spend the extra cash on "Branded", why not go for it? It could be what people say " Enjoys"
